The JOURNIE Rewards Program (the “Program”) is a loyalty reward program that is operated by Parkland Corporation (“Parkland”). The Program operates only through Participating Sites and/or the businesses of third-party vendors authorized by Parkland for the distribution and/or redemption of JOURNIE Rewards Points (“Points”).
The list of Participating Sites, as amended from time to time, is available at www.journie.com (“Website”) or on the App.
HOW TO PARTICIPATE & ACCOUNT REGISTRATION:
In addition to providing an email address, the Participant must create a password to access their mobile account and their program Account. If a Participant forgets their passwords, the Participant may request new passwords by confirming their email address via the App. An automated email will be sent with a link to reset the password in both cases.
In addition to the App, a Participant can create an Account at the Website (www.journie.com), by fully completing the registration process for and by agreeing to the Program’s Terms and Conditions. You will then automatically be registered to participate in the Program.
Parkland, at its sole discretion, may terminate your participation in this program. Upon termination, you authorize Parkland to revoke any points you may have accumulated. If Parkland terminates your participation in the program you are not entitled to any compensation unless compensation is required by law.
Only one Account is issued per customer and only one Account is permitted per customer.
JOURNIE REWARDS CARD
To participate in the Program with a JOURNIE Rewards Card (a “JOURNIE Rewards Card”), you may obtain a JOURNIE Rewards Card at any Participating Store simply by requesting one. The Participant receiving the JOURNIE Rewards Card is deemed to be the authorized Account holder. The JOURNIE Rewards Card may only be used once the associate at the store activates it by electronically registering it into the Program’s computer system at the same time a Participant makes their first purchase.
Once activated, Points can be earned to the Participant’s Account. A Participant will not be able to redeem JOURNIE Rewards Benefits until the Participant registers the JOURNIE Rewards Card via app or online. Once registered, the participant is required to verify via the link provided in the registration email. Enrollment and participation of any Participant in the Program is at the sole discretion of Parkland. Although it is preferable to provide an email address when enrolling for JOURNIE Rewards, this is not mandatory.
The JOURNIE Rewards Card is not a credit card but is a loyalty card. The JOURNIE Rewards Card is the property of Parkland. The JOURNIE Rewards Card and the Account may be revoked at any time by Parkland at its sole discretion. At the option of Parkland, all accumulated Points to that date may be revoked, without any compensation to the Participant, unless prohibited by law.
Only one Account is issued per customer and only one Account is permitted per customer.
To be a Participant of the Program, an individual must, at the time of registration, be eighteen (18) years old or older and a legal resident of the United States of America.
Only individuals may become Participants of the Program. Corporations, businesses, and partnerships cannot become a Participant.
Participants are responsible for notifying Parkland of any changes in their member profile information such as mailing address, telephone numbers, and/or e-mail address. Participants are responsible for any consequences of a failure to notify Parkland of any such changes. Participants may update their profile at any time via the App or the Website or use any of the methods outlined under the Contacts section below. Parkland is not responsible for any consequences resulting from any misdirected communications.
EARNING AND REDEEMING JOURNIE REWARDS
Once an Account is activated, each time eligible purchases (minimum merchandise purchase amount may apply) are made at a Participating Store, the Participant will earn Points according to the reward schedules below. With respect to merchandise purchases, the number of Points earned will be calculated separately (before tax) for each eligible in-store item.
|Rewards on Merchandise|
|1 dollar||2 points|
No minimum transaction is required to earn points and points may be redeemed in 100-point increments for non-fuel purchases. Minimum redemption amount is 100 points for non-fuel purchases at participating locations. A sample transaction is below. The listed prices are examples only. Actual prices will vary.
Starting Point Balance = 50 points
|Purchase||Purchase Amount||Points Earned||Explanation|
|Chocolate Bar||$1.25||2||$1.25 x 2 points (2 points/dollar) = 2 points, the remaining .5 points will carry over|
|Energy Drink||$3.15||6||$3.15 X 2 points (2 points/ dollar) = 6 points, the remaining .3 points will carry over|
|Frozen Pizza||$8.99||17||$8.99 x 2 points (2 points/ dollar) = 17 points, the remaining .98 points will carry over|
|Total Points Earned||76||1.78 = 1 point, the remaining .78 will carry over|
The purchase total in this example is $13.39. When doubled, the value eligible for to earn points is 26.78 resulting in 26 points and .78 carrying over to be contributed to on the next purchase.
By enrolling in Debit Pay and linking their JOURNIE Rewards card to their personal checking account, a customer can receive per gallon discounts at the time of purchase at participating locations. There is no transaction or enrollment fee to participate in the program.
When using Debit Pay, there is not a per gallon limit.
As a JOURNIE Rewards member, bonus offers, and promotions will be offered as part of the JOURNIE Rewards program. Offers include but not limited to the following:
*Parkland reserves the rights to amend offers periodically.
Participants must present their App or their JOURNIE Rewards Card to earn Points before the payment is processed for the transaction. If a Participant does not present their JOURNIE Rewards Card or App at the time of purchase, there will be no retroactive recording of Points. The only opportunity to earn Points is at the time of an actual purchase in conjunction with the presentation of a JOURNIE Rewards App or JOURNIE Rewards Card.
Points will be earned in accordance with the reward schedules contained in these Terms and Conditions and posted on the JOURNIE Rewards website at Journie.com. In the case of any discrepancy between the reward schedule posted in these Terms and Conditions and rewards schedules published elsewhere, the rewards schedules posted in these Terms and Conditions, as updated from time to time, shall apply.
In the case of purchased merchandise, Points will be earned before any taxes, and Points will be awarded on the pre-tax price of an item after any discounts.
Program reward schedules may change from time to time when special promotions are offered. Changes to the reward schedules for these special promotions will be found on the Program website at Journie.com
Points cannot be earned for the purchase of the following items/services: natural gas, age restricted products, alcohol, tobacco purchases, gaming and lottery, gift cards, prepaid long-distance cards, prepaid cellular cards, bill payments, items that are excluded by law, and other items specified by Parkland as exclusions from time to time.
Points earned on an App transaction will be shown on the printed receipt issued at the time of purchase and in real time on the App. In the event that the computer server used to record Points is unavailable at the time of purchase, Points will be earned automatically when the system becomes available, and the new balance will be shown in the App.
Points earned on a JOURNIE Rewards Card transaction will be shown on the printed receipt issued at the time of purchase. In the event that the computer server used to record Points is unavailable at the time of purchase, Points will be earned automatically when the system becomes available, and the new balance will be available online on Journie.com.
A Participant's Account is accessible online on the JOURNIE Rewards website at Journie.com by using the Participant's unique password. In the event of a discrepancy between the Points earned, the balance on a receipt, the Points posted online, and/or the information contained in Parkland's internal database, the information appearing in Parkland's internal database will govern. The information appearing online is initially generated from the computer system that records individual transactions as they occur at Participating Stations and for this reason the information appearing online may not accurately reflect the information contained in Parkland's internal database at the time of viewing a Participant’s Account online.
If a Participant believes there is a discrepancy with the number of Points earned on a particular transaction, the Participant has thirty (30) days from the date of the transaction on the receipt to contact JOURNIE Rewards Customer Service at the telephone number under the Contacts section below and report the matter. After thirty (30) days from the date of a given transaction, any number of Points appearing in relation to that transaction in Parkland's JOURNIE Rewards internal database that has not been questioned by a Participant may be deemed final and not be changed regardless of the circumstances.
If Points are not earned or redeemed in accordance with these Terms and Conditions, Parkland reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to adjust the Participant’s Account.
In the event of returns and/or exchanges, Points will be deducted from the Participant's Account in the same amount as the number of Points earned for the returned item or service. If the return and/or exchange relates to an item and/or service acquired through the redemption of Points, all redeemed Points will be adjusted accordingly.
Points are not divisible in the case of legal disputes, including marital disputes such as separation or divorce. Points are automatically forfeited, and the Participant’s Account is automatically reduced to a balance of zero, at the time a Participant's Account is closed, or upon their death, or at the time of their bankruptcy, or if there is no activity on their Account for twelve (12) consecutive calendar months.
No credit of any kind will be given to the Participant at any time for unredeemed Points. Unredeemed Points are automatically forfeited in the event of the death or bankruptcy of a Participant. The accumulation of Points does not entitle a Participant to any rights to any Points. Points remain the property of Parkland at all times.
From time to time, selected in-store merchandise and/or services may be eligible for earning additional Points. In these cases, the number of extra Points advertised in-store will be earned in addition to the base amount earned pursuant to the reward schedules posted on the JOURNIE website at Journie.com. Parkland reserves the right to change these offers at any time at its discretion. In the case of any difference between the reward schedules posted in the Terms and Conditions on the JOURNIE Rewards website and reward schedules published elsewhere, the rewards schedules posted in the Terms and Conditions on the JOURNIE Rewards website shall govern.
All references to currency in these Terms and Conditions are stated in U.S. dollars.
LOST OR STOLEN JOURNIE REWARDS CARD
In the case of a lost or stolen JOURNIE Rewards Card, a new JOURNIE Rewards Card will be provided to the Participant upon request at any Participating Sites. If the lost or stolen JOURNIE Rewards Card was registered and Parkland can verify the identity of the Participant, any accumulated unredeemed Points balance relating to the old JOURNIE Rewards Card may be transferred to the new JOURNIE Rewards Card at the time the replacement JOURNIE Rewards Card is registered. The lost or stolen JOURNIE Rewards Card will then be suspended and will not be able to be used to redeem for JOURNIE Rewards Benefits. Parkland assumes no liability for JOURNIE Rewards Benefits redeemed prior to the notification to JOURNIE Rewards' Customer Service that the JOURNIE Rewards Card is lost or stolen.
If any JOURNIE Rewards Benefits are redeemed prior to Parkland’s receipt of notification, those unauthorized redeemed Points will not be reinstated to the Participant's new JOURNIE Rewards Card. If a lost or stolen App or JOURNIE Rewards Card is used by a third party after a Participant makes a proper loss notification to Parkland, Parkland shall not hold the Participant responsible for such redemptions and shall credit the applicable Points back to the Participant’s Account.
Parkland recommends that, when selecting a password for the Program, a Participant never use personally identifying information such as a telephone number, date of birth, address, or social insurance number, and never use an easily guessed word such as a child’s or a spouse’s name or birthday. Never disclose a password to anyone. Parkland recommends that a Participant memorize their password.
In the event that a password is forgotten, misplaced, lost, stolen, or is used in any unauthorized way, a new password will be provided to the Participant once the Participant clicks on the “Forgot password” link on journie.com or informs JOURNIE Rewards Customer Service by telephone. Parkland will then disable the old password. It is the responsibility of the Participant to ensure that their password is always secured from unauthorized use. Parkland assumes no responsibility or liability for the unauthorized use of any password regardless of the circumstances.
If a Participant suspects that someone other than the Participant has knowledge of their password, the Participant must change it immediately by contacting JOURNIE Rewards Customer Service at the telephone number in the Contacts section below or by changing their password themselves online by signing into their Account.
